The Community Outreach Programme and the Rhythms of the World Presents events are funded from the profits of the Rhythms of the World festival – so by purchasing a ticket to the festival, or any other ROTW event, you contribute directly to both of these initiatives.
The festival itself is a massive undertaking in both terms of cost and organisation. It is led entirely by volunteers who freely offer their time, support, experience, knowledge and enthusiasm. The ticket price goes part way towards covering the costs, but we aim to keep the price affordably low to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to attend. Therefore we rely on support from traders, sponsors (in cash and in kind), advertisers and grantees to ensure that the ticket price remains low and the festival is open to everyone.
