LONDON BREAKBEAT ORCHESTRA
If you thought full orchestras only played in classical music in grand concert halls than its time you saw what these guys can do. The London Breakbeat Orchestra are here to reclaim the beat and the dance floor – putting the orchestra back into places it used to be found, dance halls and ballrooms made for dancing.
The LBO take delight in taking the orchestra to venues more commonly associated with DJs and rock bands, demonstrating that orchestral instruments can be used for far more than classical music. Killer grooves, turntablism and effects plus 30 virtuoso instrumentalists combine to create floor fillers live on stage. The LBO is at the forefront of what is becoming a fast growing underground electro-acoustic dance scene. Put simply this is orchestral music as you’ve never heard it before.
